      How do I enable notifications for the Class App?

      Mac Users:

      1. You can update notifications permissions on the Class app. Join your Class and select the gear icon above the podium. You will see a caution icon above the gear when something requires your attention. Select Health Check.

      2. Click the arrow icon to open your system permissions automatically. When a change is made to your permissions, you will be prompted to quit and restart the application. This can be done outside of a class manually as well not to interrupt your session. Once enabled, notifications will have a green check mark in the class app’s settings.

      3. When enabled, you will begin to see notifications.

      Changes in Class 2.0

      In Class Version 2.15 and up, the Gear icon has moved from above the podium to the upper right corner of the Class Screen above the video gallery.

      To update notification permissions in Class app version 2.15:

      Windows Users:

      1. Go to the Windows Start menu > Settings > System > Notifications and Actions.

       

      2. Go to the Class app and toggle notifications on.

      3. When enabled, you will begin to see notifications.

      • Admit from the waiting room
      • Assigned to CC
      • Breakout Broadcast received
      • Broadcast send failure
      • Hyflex audio change
      • Left because joined elsewhere
      • Muted
      • Proctor accepted
      • Proctor ended
      • Proctor stopped by the student
      • Recording completed
      • Recording failed
      • Remote control access given
      • Remote control stopped
      • Request transcript failed
      • Annotation saved
      • Recording stopped for breakouts

      Current Low Priority toasts:

      • Bat signal sent
      • Breakout rooms closing countdown
      • Breakout broadcast sent
      • Screen share ended on breakout join
      • Host ended class
      • Host entered breakout
      • Host left breakout
      • Remote control stops failure
      • Remote control stop notice
      • Annotation not saved
