Uploading PowerPoint files to Adobe Connect

I am having trouble uploading a particular pptx file to my Adobe room. How can I resolve this?

Best solution:

  1. Optimize Media in PowerPoint
    • Go to File → Info → Compress Media.
    • Choose Internet Quality or Low Quality.
    • This will reduce embedded audio/video size (if any remain).

Performing this change will reduce the file size, and this should reduce the upload time dramatically. Inside the AC room, functionality will not be affected, and any audio/video files will play as designed. 

Additional solutions/suggestions:

  1. Convert Images to Lower Resolution
    • If you have many large JPGs, consider batch resizing them outside PowerPoint:
      • Export all images → resize to 1280x720 → reinsert.
    • Or use PowerPoint’s Compress Pictures again but select 96 ppi (Email).
  2. Remove Embedded Fonts
    • Go to File → Options → Save.
    • Uncheck Embed fonts in the file.
  3. Save as PPTX (not PPT)
    • PPTX uses ZIP compression internally; PPT does not.
