1. Mute Individual/Group
• You can mute anyone individually as needed in the Adobe
Connect attendee pod by hovering your mouse over their
name to bring up the
• To mute a select group use bulk select to initially select
everyone, and then unselect anyone you do not wish to be
muted such as hosts or presenters.
Note: Phone audio users can still unmute themselves. For VoIP
audio users the host can select one of the following:
"Allow participants to use microphone" - VoIP participants can
now connect and control their mic; or
"Allow participants to request microphone" - VoIP participants
can request the microphone, and the host will get a pop up to
approve or deny. Once the host approves, the participants will
be able to connect and control their mic.
2. Mute ALL
• Mute ALL' can be selected from the attendee pod options menu.
• Immediately mutes everyone in the meeting.
Note:
Phone users already in the meeting will be muted but will be able
to unmute themselves. New users joining by phone will not be
muted.
VoIP users - VoIP users who are already in the meeting and
anyone new joining by VoIP will have the options set by the host:
Host can choose for the VoIP user to either "request" or use their
microphone.
3. Lecture Mode
Lecture Mode can be found under the audio dropdown for the
host once the audio conference starts. The option is only visible
when the audio conference is in progress. Lecture Mode can be set
ahead of time by the host or toggled on and off during the
meeting.
What happens when Lecture Mode is checked/enabled?:
• All phone and VoIP users already in the meeting will be muted
and will not be able to unmute unless unmuted by a host.
• Anyone new joining by phone comes in muted by default and
cannot unmute their phone unless unmuted by a host.
• Anyone new joining with VoIP comes in muted by default and
cannot unmute their microphone unless unmuted by a host.
What happens when Lecture Mode is unchecked/disabled?:
Phone participants:
• Phone participants already in the meeting are unmuted - the
phone participant will hear "your microphone has been turned
on"
• New phone participants joining will be unmuted.
VoIP participants:
The host can select one of the following:
