When uploading a PowerPoint in Adobe Connect, sometimes the fonts don't seem to display correctly. Why does this happen?

Best practices for sharing PPT's in Adobe Connect

This is commonly seen with font types not supported by Adobe. It’s worth knowing that Adobe Connect is web based, so it follows standard rules of browsers. All browsers recognize a preset list of fonts. These are called Universal Fonts. Some browsers also support other fonts that other browsers do not. These are call Browser Specific Fonts. If you upload a PPT into Adobe Connect that uses a font that is not supported by the browser, Connect / The Browser will change the font. This can cause issues like size, alignment, Missing text, etc. To avoid these kind of changes to your presentation, stick to the most common Universal Fonts/ color schemes. (Please note that the fonts listed are specific and not all variants of these fonts are supported universally. Stick to the fonts listed below for the best results.)

  • Arial
  • Arial Black
  • Helvetica
  • Times New Roman
