How do I access my Class' Attendance?

Attendance is automatically tracked when a learner enters and leaves your classroom. This guide will show you how to check, download, and edit your attendance from inside a Class session.

You may also be able to view attendance from inside your Class app or from within your LMS, depending on how Class has been set up at your institution.

Note: In order to track attendance, you must first input the times the course meets

1. From inside a Class session, open the Learning Tools panel in the bottom toolbar and select the Course Management tab. Select Attendance to open the Attendance window.

3. Once Attendance is selected, a new window will open. This window will show each learner in the class and their attendance that day. The instructor will be able to view the total number of absentees and if learners were on time or tardy. A learner is considered tardy if they join 5 minutes after the class start time.

You also have the option to download attendance as a CSV file. Select Download and Save to a folder on your device.

  • If a learner does not join the class within the time window of the class session, they will be marked absent.
  • A learner will be marked as present and not tardy if they join in the first 5 minutes of the session.
  • A learner will be marked as present and tardy if they join after the first 5 minutes of the session.
  • A learner will be marked as absent if they join more than 15 minutes after the start of the class session.
